Band Bio

The Fat Rabbit roams the hills and valleys of Boulder County and beyond. Disguised as a six-piece electric with a little brass fusion band, the large furry creature samples vegetables and herbs from gardens called Coltrane and Zappa, Miles, Traffic and further—as it scampers the hills following the scent of ‘50s, ‘60s and ‘70s musical improvisation. It’s a furry thought....

Bruce and George knew each other for many years. So did Larry and Juri, old friends, but not as old as Bruce and George, but still pretty good as that goes. John played with them, Larry and Juri, as well as other people. He had lots of friends too. So did Bruce, play with Larry and Juri and John at times, and at times with so many other people that he would sometimes forget their names...which wasn’t hard, for Bruce. Bruce also knew and played with Andy, on occasion. Andy also had lots of friends, too. George, of course, quietly took east county by storm, in Bruce’s mind

And so, after two years of opening, with the help of a few other valued friends, at an important benefit for Bruce’s best friend, the band stabilized and became real in 2007, and this became The Fat Rabbit. And so another and another band story....
